As if I needed another reason to be obsessed with my new string toy

The harmonograph book I’m referencing to study the patterns created by this volumetric wave generator has a stereoscopic illustration (for cross viewing no less!) to convey the three dimensional-ness of the forms..

I’ll pursue this some more.. I knew as soon as I saw the forms that I had a book somewhere with illustrations to refer back to and to compare and investigate, I’m just not sure what direction I’m supposed to be looking in as of yet, but I normally end up finding it, especially in situations where it seems to find me first 🙂

Any thoughts? Please chime in, I love a good discussion 🙂
