Everyone should be familiar with wiggle gifs- animated gifs that bounce back and forth between a pair or more of what traditionally is created from a 35mm film scan that contains shots from traditional stereo cameras or multi lens point and shoots.
I have a few favorite artists from this genre of format- @yoshing_bt is one of the reigning champions. Hailing from Japan, his work is instantly recognizable- it can be brutally honest yet very creative, a stunning analog of energies captured in his portraits of nightlife bands, romantic gazes of lush landscapes that take up whole frames at a time and new perspectives of the normalcies of every day life.. frozen moments that are cloistered in an animated form.. He’s been a maestro of the medium for at least the 6 years I’m aware of him. I even have a nick name for him 🙌🙌🙌the worlock🙌🙌🙌
